News from the 2019 World Series of Poker: June 23

Sasha Salinger is bringing you the biggest poker headlines from June 23rd.

Stephen Chidwick finally won his first WSOP bracelet yesterday. The Brit won the $25K Pot Limit Omaha Event for $1.618,417. In fact, Chidwick entered this 25K PLO event at the very last minute of late registration on Day 2.

Luke Schwartz was the second Brit to win a bracelet yesterday. Schwartz won the $10K 2-7 championship for $273,336.
Ari Engel also won HIS first Bracelet and $427,399 in the $2500 No Limit Hold ‘Em event.
Today, one bracelet will be awarded to the winner of the Ladies Event. Only 6 players remain from the 968 entrant field. This will be the first woman to win a bracelet so far this WSOP.
The $2500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or better returns at 2pm today with 12 players out of the field of 401 entries. Michael Thompson, Andrey Zaichenko and Dan Zack remain.
Registration closes today for the 2019 World Series of Pokerv$10K Pot-limit Omaha Championship. The event has drawn 4more players than last year’s event with notables Ben Lamb, Sasha Liu, Daniel Negreanu Phil Galfond, Robert Mizrachi, and Erik Seidel all still in the mix
Apparently, Tom Dwan “Durrrr” is in Las Vegas. Will he be playing in a World Series of Poker event? We will be the first to tell you if so!
